We are researching families that were in our 1920 school census in Benton County Washington. Alphrettie Graves married Hiram Kennett on September 30, 1894 this is all I have of her I have not be able to locate anything else on this person. If anyone knows anything about Alphrettie please drop me a line. I know that Hiram Kennett was married to Nancy McReynolds in 1897 and moved west between 1900 and 1910. Harvey Sr. was the son of Thomas Drake born abt 1786 and Sarah. I suspect that this couple are identical to Thomas Drake b 1786 PA and Sally Stump b 1789 KY. This couple married in Nelson co. KY on Sept 10 1810 and diasppear from the Tax rolls there after 1815. (Sally was a common nickname for women named Sarah). Thomas is on the census for White co Illinois in 1830 and 1840.Sarah, his widow, is on the census for 1850 and 1860. I am trying to contact Drakes in Canalou, MO to see if they are interested in joining the Drake DNA Surname Project. I have male DNA results for this family of Drakes. My son-in-law is a direct descendant of Benjamin Drake b 1785--older brother of Thomas. DNA can prove if my Thomas Drake is identical to your ancestor Thomas Drake. If there is a match, then I believe we can trace your Drake line back to an immigrant named Richard Drake who arrived in Virginia about 1661.
