Thomas died on the way to the hospital Mom was severly injured. I think Sis. Thomas had a broken collar bone. The woman & her 16 year old daughter who hit them died. Bro. CARMI, Ill. - Leslie E. "Bubba" Young, 54, died Oct. 14, 2009, at his home. He was an electrician, a Vietnam War veteran and member of First Christian Church in Enfield. Surviving are wife, Ruth; daughters, Mandy and Melissa Digby, Brandy Minder and Christina Gollner; son, Jason Digby; brothers, Robert and Nick; and 20 grandchildren. Services 1 p.m. Friday at Campbell Funeral Home, burial in Melrose Cemetery, with military rites. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Campbell Funeral Home. I am Sissy (Summers) Stovall. My husband & I retired last General Assembly and moved to Cleveland, Tn. For our last 10 years we were Overseer of the Churches of God in Illinois. I think you have heard from our son, Randy, and my sister, Punkin. Randy is a Locksmith in Chattanooga. Our daughter and her husband - Tony & Starla Holley - pastor in Albany, Ga. When that terrible accident happened, my sister had just turned 7, I had just turned 15. Brub (Jesse) was about to turn 17 and George was about to turn 18. He was attending Lee College at that time. Punkin lives in Logan, Illinois where our parents are buried. George is reitred in McConnelsville, Ohio. I'm sorry to say Brub passed away will be 2 years next month. Also since the General Assembly Georges son passed away. Our Dad was a go getter. I got tired trying to keep up with him. I played the accordian for street meetings & his Sat. morning radio program "The Voice of Young America." Before moving to Pulaski, Dad was the Overseer of New Mexico. He also served as State Youth Director of Texas before that...and pastored in Carmi, Il. Several other places too. Mom died in 1985 with a heart attack. I keep in touch with Jean (Mabe) King from Pulaski...and her cousin Dawn (Landreth) Deel lives here in Cleveland. >From time to time I talk to Bea Ogle. I would enjoy hearing from some of the Pulaski folks. When Don (my husband) was a Missions Representative, we were at Pulaski for a couple Missions Banquets and service. I would give anything to have some close male relatives to confirm my Overstreet and Glover lines (both VA to KY). I also wonder how your Kings got to both White and Pope counties, as they are not at all close. It is possible that brothers or cousins moved that far apart, although they both have rive access. Now Posey county, Indiana and White county, IL are just across the Wabash River. I know the genealogy library in Carmi has some Endicott information, also a Posey county family, as several DAR members have come through the line. Thanks for your posts. Does anyone know a George Morrow with wife Annie Finn Morrow? Someone on a Morrow list found a photograph that appears to have been taken in the 1880's with the couple appearing to be in their 30's at the time. I have a George Morrow in my database b. 1835 with no wife listed born in Illinois however his parents Robert Morrow Jr. b. NC and d. 1849 MO and Elizabeth Joyner b. TN don't indicate anything that this could be him. There were Morrow's in White co after coming from Chester SC and didn't know if this could be one of them. Janean

Services 1 p.m. Saturday at Springerton RLDS Church, interment in Old Springer Cemetery near McLeansboro. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
