It indicates that stones are gone and field in cultivation. Some of these(9 out of 15) have entries in the Kingdom Cemetery data. Does anyone know if these bodys were reburied at Kingdom or what? Darrell, It is a functional home for children with personal or family problems. It started about 1919, helped by our Baptist church. You can google the institution. It started as an orphanage, but most of the residents now have disfunctional families. They live on several ranch style houses on the property. The road is located a mile or so west and south of Walmart on Highway 1. Here is a link http://www.bchfs.com/ Darrell Wesley wrote: > Cindy, > > Where is the Baptist Children's Home road located? Darrell, To your original question Kingdom is near the Little Wabash River. To get there one turns off highway 1 at the Baptist Childrens Home road and winds their way back through the country. It is also a fairly hilly area. The church is still functional but does not have many members. Cindy Darrell Wesley wrote: > Can anyone tell me where Kingdom Church Cemetery is located? The old graveyard is the one right in Carmi. It hasn't been used sine 1966. The histopolis site lists 74 cemetery, but v 2 of Vaught's cemetery book has maybe 89. There is Kingdom church with the cemetery adjacent, SW of Carmi. The site lists 30 cities but not Grayville, which is in two counties. it also leaves out Trumball and Ball, and doesn't show Concord as an altenative to Emma. They also list a Bowling cemetery, which I have never of. Draper cemetery is not listed either. Union is listed twice, one is West Union and the other is Old Union. Cemeteries do not lend themselves to easy mapping, as they came and went and had different names.
