Does anyone have information on the family of Richard & Harriett KNOWLES from the 1860 US census for Wayne County, IL? I am attempting to verify that they were the parents of Caroline KNOWLES, b. 23 July 1840 in OH, m. Caleb C. JONES 4 Mar 1867 in Wayne County, d. 16 Aug 1912. Richard & Harriett apparently moved to Wayne County in 1856 per the obituary of their daughter, Elizabeth KNOWLES HALL. Both Caroline & Elizabeth were born in Gallia Co. OH and might be sisters.
