I don't have much, but there is a notation in the book Mt Erie History and Stories of By Gone Days published By the Mt. Erie Homecoming Committee, September 3, 2000 that there was a hotel built and operated by David Holmes on the southwest corner of the main square one block east of the Methodist Church.
