Wayne Co section pg 128 and 129: Presbytery of Cairo organized Presbyterian Church of Fairfield, 23 Apr 1871. Members included Alexander Moore and Mrs. Jane Moore. Alexander Moore elected elder 3 Jan 1875 and remained until his death 19 Aug 1883. Clay Section, pg 372: Christian Church organized 1855 by Father Schooley was an old log school house about 1 mile west of Flora. Nine person made up the 1st congregation: Walter Kinaman, Henry Kinaman and wife, Felia Poe and wife, James Moore and wife, Samuel Kinaman and wife.
