James and Rebecca HENDERSON are the 4th great-grandparents of my wife. They were born in Kentucky but spent most of their adult lives in Xenia, Clay County, Illinois. James died August 21, 1883 and Rebecca died March 17, 1878. Family lore says both died in Clay County but a volunteer there says a transcribed listing of Clay County deaths does not list either person. Since Xenia is so close to Wayne County, I'm wondering if the HENDERSONS actually died in Wayne County. If anyone has access to a list of deaths in Wayne County, I'd like to know if James or Rebecca appears on that list.
