    1. Sorry to hear of Misty's passing

    3. My heart goes out to Misty's family. The death of a mother is never easy to accept at any age, but leaving five children behind with three still in school breaks my heart for them. I too, like many others, have been the recipient of Misty's generous heart and helpfulness when I started researching my family. Being born in Mt. Vernon but never living there for long, made me proud after meeting Misty, Cindy Ford, Shirley Payne, Belinda Etheridge and others that were truly so open-hearted and generous of their time and knowledge. Misty will be missed by so many people. I truly doubt her family knows how many people's lives she touched being the county coordinator for Jefferson County. After creating a website for those of us researching in Jefferson County, she went on to work on Hamilton County. Her energy was boundless before cancer slowed her down and she reprioritized her life to spend more time with her family. I hope everyone moment she spent with her family is stored up as wonderful memories for them to pull out when they are missing her. Misty will be missed by many people, including her "family" of genealogists. Sandy (Whalen) Bauer
