    3. Emily This is interesting. My Gammons and Lanes lived in Hamilton county IL but both families went up to Arcola and lived in the late 1800s. I think they had cousins and relatives there. My gr gr grandfather stayed in HCI with his family. His name was Moses Lane and his children were: William A. Lane James A. Lane John H. F. Lane Elizabeth J. Lane Thomas Casey Lane Junius W. Lane Mary Ann Lane Cloyd Dutton Lane Sarah Adelaid Lane In the James H. Lane, do you know what Lane stands for. Also, do you have the children of the James H. Lanes from Goochland. Did they come through TN or OH or IN to Illinois. My gr grandmother Lane said there was a connection in Indiana to the Lanes. Moses' father was born in VA and his mother TN. My Lanes were in Arcola in 1910 and 1920 census. Do you have any information on your Hall, parents and siblings. My gr grandfather, William Hall, lived in HCI but was from up north. If he was connected to your Halls, it would make sense that my Lanes would have relatives galore around Arcola. Your Hall may have been a cousin of my Grandmother, Gertrude Hall Lane, Roy Lanes wife.
