    3. Bettie I wish I had known you did research on Flint family and had a chance to meet you when I was in Fairfield last month. Next year, I would love to schedule time with you. I'll be there over Labor Day weekend and probably the following week. Here's what I have on my Flint line (10 generations). Does this look right to you from your records? Note that 10th generation David Bee Davis is my great grandfather.(son of Martha Jane Flint and Squire Davis). I remember he used to give us silver dollar coins whenever we went to visit him in Mt. Vernon. His first wife died (Sarah Elizabeth Shrum) and he married his brother Charles Davis wife, Mattie (Butler) Davis when they were both quite old. Caused quite a stir in the family. Some never got over it and didn't speak to him again before he died. Charles and Mattie are buried near David and Sarah at Davis-Mateer (Salem Church) Cemetery in Four Mile Twp, Wayne Co, IL. Interesting that I am also related to Mattie Butler on my dad's side of the family. The Davis side is from my mother, Doris (Davis) Whalen. Descendants of Hon.
