Beverly, I have Ulysses Grant Barnhouse married to Sophie. Last name unknown. He may have married again. He and Sophie are in Sheridan Co. MT in the 1920 Census. As to surnames, both my husband and I have ancestors in Wayne, White, Jefferson and Marion Counties.
