    1. Carson families
    2. In the 1870 census, Wayne County, IL, there are several Carson families with Ohio roots. Are they related? My family is William Carson b. 1803 Ireland, a blacksmith with his second wife Margaret Stevens and their children: James A., Rebecca E, Olivia C, and Esther A. Another of his sons by his first wife, Elizabeth Booth, is Isaac B. Carson and his wife Minerva Stevens. These families came to Wayne County from Vinton County, OH.

    3. Hi Alice You may already have this contact but I just got it at church today. Ancestory.com. You can go to any LDS Family History Center--at a local LDS STAKE CENTER. It costs $190 if you subscribe to it, but it is FREE at the stake centers. This site also now includes US census records--I don't know how far back they go. I hope this will help with your geneaolgical research.
