    3. Mrs. Lydia Slow Dead Lydia E. Miller daughter of Johnathan and Jane Miller was born in Columbus County, Ohio, December 6th 1841; she departed this life March 1st, 1923 at her home in Ziff Township. She was united in marriage to C. C. Slow, Jan 26, 1866 who died September 16, 1915. To this union was born 9 children, Viola Farnsworth, of Pullman, Washington. Ada B. Foote, of Spokane Wash. Minnie Macauley, of Bartlett, Oregon., C.D. Slow of Connell, Washington, and Nellie Slow of Ziff, Ill., Pheba Jane, Earnest L. and Cecil and Cecilia who did in infancy, She is survived by five children above named and a number of grandchildren. Early in life she professed faith in Christ and united with the M.E. Church. She has always lived a Christian life; she was a kind and loving mother, a good neighbor and a friend to all. Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., Rev O.O. Maxfield officiating. Internment on Ziff cemetery. Mrs. Slow was a sister to Mrs. A. R. Kiser of this city.
