Richard came to Wayne County about 1840 and died there in 1883. I am looking for any descendants of Richard who descend from other children besides his son, William. I have been working for many years on the family of William C. Clark who lived to his death in 1909 in Wayne County. I've made contacts with many descendants from William's 10 children but have been unable to trace any of Richard's other children forward. I am really curious about Richard's other children and their descendants. According to the 1850 and 1860 census, Richard had the following children: William C. b. 1828 S. F. 1831 (male) Thomas 1834 Catherine 1837/9 Mary 1840 Martha 1841 James 1843 Samantha 1846 Richard H. 1847/8 Richard's first or second wife with whom he had these children was Mary 'Polly' Jones, daughter of William Jones who died in Marion County, Illinois. I have alot of information about William C. Clark and alot of information about Richard, a War of 1812 veteran, and his 8(!) wives, but nothing about the other descendants of Richard. This is such a mystery to me. Any body have any information? Then, of course, there are the ancestors of Richard. That's another great mystery. Curious Liz from California P.S.
