Hello Judy. I am a POTTER descendent. Rance (John Ransom) POTTER was my Gr. Uncle, son of Asa HAYNES POTTER b. 1849 d. 1930 and Elmira/Elmyra ALEXANDER b. 1852 d. Dec. 31, 1893, both b. and d. in Fairfield IL. They were my Gx2 Grandparents. To my knowledge, Bessie COPURTWRIGHT POTTER who m. Charles POTTER son of Clarence POTTER son of Rance POTTER was still living as of about two years ago. I know they had one son, Rick POTTER. I can get in touch with him. He is still in the Fairfield area. Bessie gave me a lovely picture of Uncle Ransom POTTER the last time visited her. If you go to the Wayne Co. website and click on "I think" obits. you can see his pic. and obit. I have several unidentified pics. of the POTTER/ALEXANDER family prob. taken in the early 1900s.
