If memory serves me correctly, there were two men with the name Silas Wilson. I do not think that they were connected. When I say if memory serves me correctly, that is what I mean. I would try to help you more, but my eyes are giving me difficulty and what I have written here is from memory. The court house in Wayne Co. burned on the 17 Nov. 1886. I think that there is one index to some deeds prior to that date. Much work has been done on the Wilson family of Wayne Co. The problem is that there is two different lines of Wilsons. I think that there was a Joseph Wilson that married into the Borah family. The problem is that there was also a connection between the Thomas M. Wilson family and the Borahs. Thomas is my line. I would suggest that you check census records if you have not done so. Also, even though the court house burned, files were saved, but it is my understanding that there is no index to these. If you need someone to do research for you, I can give you the name and address of a professional researcher, who is a Wilson descendant. Her charges were very reasonable. Please contact me privately for her name and address. There was a man that had Atteberry material. This was some time ago. If you contact the library at Fairfield, they might be able to suggest his name. [email protected]
