To Sandy B.in Co.; my Maulding line that I have researched, begins with Andrew and Hester Ann R. (Hopkins) Maulding; their daughter, Sarah Ann Maulding b. April 06, 1838 in Marion Co. IL. married abt. 1853 to William H. Payne, d. May 01, 1855 Wayne Co. IL. buried ?. They had a child, who was b. and d. between 1854-56. William then, sometime between 1856-1857, married Sarah Ann's cousin, Margaret Alice "Lucy" Maulding, b. 1840 in Marion Co. IL. and d. between 1870-72 Wayne Co. buried ?. (this is my ancestor) and they had 5 children (the oldest, Margaret Alice Payne, my GrGrandmother). After her death, William married Julia Lowery, and they had 8 more children. William d. Feb. 09, 1926 in Wayne Co. and is buried in Salem Cem. with his 3rd wife, Julia. There were Mauldings who lived in Salem, Marion Co. IL., but I can't make the connection! Look at the map and you will see how close in distance Four Mile Twp., Wayne Co., and Salem, Marion Co. are. "We" will connect, in more length, when I return. Ky.
