Hi, I'm on several lists for genealogy and one in particular which is quite large and active and gets together in the summer for a "work session". I have not attended, but I believe they had about 40 attendees last summer which was larger than the year before. They had donations of books, copiers, local historians etc...the historical society was open as was the library and courthouse especially for them. It was not only a great time for them to work on genealogy but it seemed that those who attended were drawn even closer in friendship to their internet geneealogy friends. I think it is a great idea, but the burden of organizing really falls to you all who live in the county. It is a good idea to bat around on the list for other ideas and opinions. The county I referred to is planning another one for this summer as well. It seemed to be a valuable get together for those who attended. Bridget
