Are there any cemetery records online for Wayne County? I am trying to figure out where my GGreat Grandparents Otis and Sarah Trussell are buried. Sarah Trussell died on February 19, 1870 in Fairfield and Otis G. Trussell died on February 12, 1879, also in Fairfield. Otis was a Civil War Veteran, but also may have belonged to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, so if there is an IOOF cemetery in Wayne County he may be there. Any help would be appreciated! Margaret There are books published on the cemeteries of Wayne County, IL but unless someone volunteers to walk the cemeteries, we'll never get the information online! You can purchase the books off the Wayne County website. I made a trip to Jefferson and Wayne Counties over Labor Day last year, and visited a couple of cemeteries in Wayne County (to find my relatives) and took some photos. I plan on going back again this year for a whole week and will try and take photos of all the gravestones in Thomason (near Wayne City) Farnsworth (Mt. Zion) Cemetery and also the Salem (Davis-Mateer) (near Keenes) cemeteries where I have lots of relatives. I'll work with Dianna to get them posted on the Wayne County website.
