    1. Re: [ILWAYNE-L] 1875 Plat Map
    2. Earlier this year I put a request in at my local library in Virginia for a copy of the History of White County from the Inter Lending Library (ILL). It took about five weeks, but a microfilm duly arrived. Imagine my great delight when I found it not to be what I wanted, but a section of Illinois history published in 1883, 1887, or in that time frame. It included Washington, Wayne, White, and Gallatin counties. Gallatin and White had split at one time, so I assume that is why it was included. My families came from Wayne, White, and Gallatin which made this film so perfect. Each county had photos of important people, homes, businesses, some records, etc. And there were plats with names very clearly listed on their lands. I was interested in Brush Creek and found my great great-grandfathers Waller and Gaumer. The microfilm came her from Terre Haute, IN. If not available or readable elsewhere, you might want to try this route. Jane
