Hello, I am trying to find present day ALEXANDERS, LOYDS and BROWNS, if any remain, in Wayne Co. IL. My link is Rebecca LOYD b. ca. 1821 VA, m. Philip/Phil ALEXANDER May 1843 Carroll Co. OH. They moved to IL c. 1845-1850. They appear on the 1850-1855 IL Census. In 1850, they had the following children; E. A. (Elizabeth?) ALEXANDER b. OH age 7 M.J. ALEXANDER b. OH age 3 Calvin ALEXANDER b. OH age 5 John ALEXANDER b. IL age about one year. Between the years of 1855 and 1860, Philip died. His widow, Rebecca LOYD ALEXANDER married a James BROWN on Feb. 15th, 1859, (by W.W. GEORGE) Source:Wayne Co. Newspaper Gleanings p. 10. M IL By the 1870 Census, there is no record of the above family except: BEEMER, Peter 57 M OH BEEMER, Elizabeth 51 F VA (perhaps Rebecca LOYDS sister?, or other close relative?) BEEMER, Mary E. 15 F IL BROWN, Horace 10 M IL BROWN, Hulda 4 F IL The other ALEXANDERS with whom Philip and Rebecca LOYD ALEXANDER were related were N.C. ALEXANDER (Philip's bro.) and his wife Jane Cecelia AUSTIN. Philip and N.C. ALEXANDER'S parents were David ALEXANDER b. 1789 DE d. c. 1845 Wayne Co. IL and Elizabeth CUNNINGHAM b. 1797 VA ? d. 1861 Wayne Co. IL.
