Susan, do you know where they came from back east? William ZIMMERMAN m. Sophia BROWN 27 Apr 1843 in Paris Twp, Stark Co, Ohio. They came to Wayne Co between 1845 and 1847, apparently following William's KOONTZ relatives. (Note the "T" in KOONTZ.) The ZIMMERMAN and KOONTZ families had lived in Columbiana Co, Ohio, with my Zims moving to Stark Co about 1830. Several KOONTZ families first bought land in Wayne Co in 1839. Do you know if the Koonz in Sophia Koonz BROWN is a maiden name or a prior married name?
