Thanks to one very generous Census CD owner in Wayne County, won't mention any names MIKE! In 1880 one Steven SHEHORN grandson age 5 was living with my great grandmother Catherine SPICER/TAYLOR/WARREN in Indian Prairie, I know I remember seeing someone researching the SHEHORN lineage..another sprig for your tree! One William DAILEY father in law age 86 from VA was living with his daughter Martha TAYLOR also in Indian Prairie... My big surprise and also my excitement was the finding of of William C Taylor the son of Catherine SPICER(d 1910) and George William TAYLOR(d 1879). He is my grandfather and I see that he was married to someone named Sarah ? from IL and they had a son George W TAYLOR b. 1873 and a daughter Mary A TAYLOR born 1877! I would assume that William and Sarah were married around 1872-73. This all happened around Brush Creek. I find it touching that he named his son George W after his father. My quest is to find out what happened to Sarah and the children after 1880, because somehow William C ends up over in Alexander County IL in 1912 marrying my grandmother Mary A Garneau/Gurnow. There was never mention of other children by him other than my father. There is also a confusing marriage record of another William C TAYLOR marrying a Minnie Quasebarthe(nothing on this name anywhere!) in 1890. Don't know yet if they are the same Williams or not. Hopefully someone will keep an eye out for TAYLOR surnames popping up while they are searching for their own lineages..maybe they married one of the locals! Freida Marie Taylor
