hi, Medical doctors charge for their services... just because patients know how to self medicate themselves... does this make MD's low like scum? Is genealogy any different? "Fair Use" copyright laws entitle anyone to copy a few pages at a time. The few who complain the loudest about selling photocopies for $1.50 don't stop to think... the copy cost is $.50... that leaves $1.00 and most will only need one copy. At one order per week... that's $1.00 to pay for driving 25 miles round trip... and usually half an hour to look it up, copy it and mail it out... and time spent to e-mail the results by to the person who can't get out to use the FHC... that's not much compensation.
