Most of what was covered in the show, most of us already know from the research we've done in these two counties. The show was called "Wrath of God." > What was interesting about this show was listening to the meteorologists. None of them understand what happened that day. They all said tornados don't travel for 219 miles. What they happened was there were several tornados, probably 4 or so. They think the active tornado spun off another tornado which continued the destructive path. That tornado spun off another tornado, etc. They also don't know what happened to the tornado. They usually lose strength and stop. This one, just stopped and vanished. > In the story, if I was listening correctly, I got the impression that later that night, there was snowfall, which is also very unusual. > In the show they also had numerous photographs, some interviews with survivors, and interviews with authors who have researched the tornado as well as interviews with meteorologists. I apologize for not writing down the names of the survivors who were interviewed. I can't remember their names. > Carol Janes > --------------------------------- > Do you Yahoo!? > U2 on LAUNCH - Exclusive medley & videos from Greatest Hits CD > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 > --part1_165.1626a3a6.2afc0f08_boundary-- Hi -- The message you submitted to this list (included above) wasn't sent to the list subscribers. RootsWeb accepts only plain text mail. That means that HTML mail, attachments, ``enriched text'', and a few other formats can't be sent to RootsWeb mailing lists. You can post your message if you send it in plain text; turn off the ``Post in HTML'' or ``Enriched Text'' features of your mail reader, or don't use any attachments. See http://helpdesk.rootsweb.com/listadmins/plaintext.html for instructions on turning off HTML in most of the popular mail programs, or ask your ISP's technical support line for help. We've had to institute this policy because of the problems that accompany these fancy mail formats. Some people don't have mail programs that are capable of processing the special file formats. Even among those who do, different mail programs handle these special formats in very different and confusing ways. HTML messages pose special problems to our digested mailing lists. Most of all, HTML-ified mail and attachments place a considerable burden on RootsWeb's overworked machines. All in all, mail in this format produces a lot of problems for RootsWeb's servers and subscribers, so we find it's best just to use plain text. -- The RootsWeb staff --part1_141.22f8df0.2afc1270_boundary--
