I too am confused with all of the John Taylors, that's why I throw it out to the group for discussion. With John Taylor-Susan Mobley, i found info in the older Wayne mailing lists that said his father was Jesse. Well, mine is a Jesse too, strange isn't it! Jesse's son John was born 1772 died 1857 according to the mailing list. I have also John's death as Sept 19, 1859. John's Susan Mobley..my John's Susannah Mock...see my questions? John the son of Jesse, married to Susannah Mock is buried in Bethel Methodist Church cemetary in Muskingum OH.(she quoted sources) She quotes many intermarrying family names that were members of Bethel Mehtodist Church or the Lutheran Church in Adamsville, Muskingum OH...and that several of these families migrated to eastern Illinois. Tracing these families from Loudoun Co VA to Muskingum Co OH and now me tracing them to Wayne Co, Illinois, I see repeat of Bethel Church, names such as Mocks, Taylors, Davis Honnolds, Shrigleys, Shivleys, Virts Roberts, Adams...all in the census records in Wayne County. As much as I hate to say it, I am working strictly off online census records and reading every single posting daily in Taylor Research Yahoo, GenForum, Wayne mailing list, Rootsweb archives, anything I can find because here in Belgium accessibility to the real documents is archeaic. I then write e mails to the "interesting postings" in hope of sharing all the info accumulated between us and then someone else connects. I have managed to build this (undocumented by me), family existence on my Taylor line by sheer luck, contacts and a lot of wonderful people. I in turn keep track of who I correspond with, if I run across their surnames when I surf and search, I copy and paste and send them the info I find in other surnames. I am the baby of the original Taylor line, there are only two Taylor males left, they have daughters. I want to build this Taylor line for my youngest nephew...so he knows who he is and me, unmarried, and childless...who am I? Thanks for the responses! Freida
