Hi, Looking for information on William H. Cisne or Cessna, son of Jonathan and Sarah (Bollinger) Cessna/Cisne. Jonathan was a son of Emauel Cisne. Would like to find out if William was ever married to Elizabeth Ann "Lizzie" Stout. Possible Father of John Bert Cisne, Chester Cisne and Inez Cisne. If possible, could someone please look to see if there is an obituary for Chester Cisne, born 20 Oct 1896, died 8 Dec 1977 in Fairfield, Illinois. Also for Elizabeth "Lizzie" Burroughs, who died 14 May 1948, possibly in Urbana, IL. Thank you for any help you can give me, Lois Branch
We have a oval, color, photo (no frame) of James G. Perry 11-1-1904 to 8-8-1981 with his brother Milton Perry 3-17-1906 to 11-3-1955 as small boys. They are the sons of Rev. Hulbert Perry 5-23-1873 to 2-23-1958 and Estella O. Garrison Perry 8-6-1873 to 11-1-1931 (wed @ Aden, Hamilton County, IL 12-4-1903). All are buried @ Garrison Cemetery, Aden, HCI. Milton Perry was wed to Maxine Barbery Clark 8-20-1929 in Peoria. Estella O. Garrison Perry was sister to Amy Viola Garrison Hutchcraft, Bob's paternal grandmother, and we suppose that it was handed down through the Garrisons and Hutchcrafts into possession of Rachel Hutchcraft (Sharer) d/o John Hutchcraft and Amy Viola Garrison Hutchcraft.) We would like to give it to a Perry descendant. Robert & Gail Hutchcraft. ladybug@arends-sons.com Ford County, IL
The transcription of the Wayne County Press for February 1897 has been posted at: http://my.inil.com/~htbryan/wcp/index.html The transcription was made by Jeanne Delaney in November but had not been posted until this time because of other commitments and the holidays. Hello All - I have a Porter and Rachel (Lewis) CLIFFORD family of Mt. Erie who were married in Pike County, OH - 1854 and had 7 children: Sarah Jane, b. and d. 1855 Pike County, George F. (Frank), b. 1857, Charles H., b. 1862, Flora E., b. 1864, Benjamin L., b. 1868, Alexander, b. 1869, and Caroline b. 1871. When Porter and Rachel died young (1872 & 1877), the children I could find were all scattered out in the census of 1880. I found Benjamin living with the SPARKS family in Mt. Erie, and I think Caroline is living with the Richard WILSON family in Zif Township. Alexander is living with a SMITH family in Clay County, IL. But, since that census, these 6 children have been lost to me. Both Porter and Rachel are buried in the Mt. Erie Cemetery. Has anyone worked on this family? Any help would be appreciated. Willing to share. Janis in NC
Misty's obituary is posted on the Mt. Vernon Register News website today: http://mtvernonregister-news.com/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=811 -- Sandy (Whalen) Bauer http://www.whalen-family.org "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO - What a Ride!"
My heart goes out to Misty's family. The death of a mother is never easy to accept at any age, but leaving five children behind with three still in school breaks my heart for them. I too, like many others, have been the recipient of Misty's generous heart and helpfulness when I started researching my family. Being born in Mt. Vernon but never living there for long, made me proud after meeting Misty, Cindy Ford, Shirley Payne, Belinda Etheridge and others that were truly so open-hearted and generous of their time and knowledge. Misty will be missed by so many people. I truly doubt her family knows how many people's lives she touched being the county coordinator for Jefferson County. After creating a website for those of us researching in Jefferson County, she went on to work on Hamilton County. Her energy was boundless before cancer slowed her down and she reprioritized her life to spend more time with her family. I hope everyone moment she spent with her family is stored up as wonderful memories for them to pull out when they are missing her. Misty will be missed by many people, including her "family" of genealogists. Sandy (Whalen) Bauer
