Catherine Hart died Jan 26, 1884, and is buried in Buckeye Cemetery east of Geff with her husband, Julius Caesar Hart, and several children. Does anyone happen to have an obituary or death notice for her? Susan Selders Evans in startling sunny Puget Sound country

I am researching a line of my ex-husband's family (for my children). His grandmother, Maud(e) Tol(l)iver Myers, d/o Joseph and Emma Tol(l)iver were living in Wayne County during the 1910 Census. Joseph and Emma had 9 children living at the time of this census: Harry E. (age 19 in 1910) Charley (age 17) Nellie (age 15 and the only sibling we knew about) Maud (age 13) - my ex's grandmother on this mother's side Grace (age 11) Cliffin (age 9) Tina (age 8) Hattie (age 6) Tillie (age 3) They owned a farm near Stephens Street in Sims in 1910. Any information on what became of the children (except Maud(e) and Nellie - both of whom we knew about and have information for). I do know that during the 1920 Census, only Charley, Tina, Hattie, and Tilley were at home, and the family had moved to Mount Erie Township in Wayne County. Thank you. Christine Stout Ashton, IL

I am always interested in anything about Titus BUFFINGTON born 1822/28 PA died 1911 Ill. They were living in Wayne County in 1860. He married second Hannah BRANCH HAMMOND whose first husband died in the Civil War. Hannah was a "white rose" in the war, a field nurse. She was taken prisoner and later escaped and returned to Illinois although her husband died in service. Titus had five children by his first marriage to Aleatha Ann DAVIS, and one by his second marriage to Hannah. Their daughter Myrtle W. "Nannie" Buffington. born 1870 in Wayne County, married a Mr. Howard ca 1890 and they were living in Denver Colo in 1906. He was a machinest, according to a newspaper item. I would love to find Nannie's children. Carolyn Remember, you have a friend in Oklahoma!

Solomon MITCHELL, b. Dec. 7, 1814, d. May 22, 1858, Wayne Co. IL + Paulina "Pliney" ALEXANDER, b. July 24, 1824, d. Nov. 8, 1864, Wayne Co. IL Married Oct. 7, 1843, Marion Co. IL. Would like VERY, VERY much to find the source of the dates of their birth and death AND burial place if possible. I know what book these dates came from and I know that my aunt was the source supplied to the author of the book, BUT WHERE did my aunt get them??? She did not do genealogical research and I have been unable for years to find her source. (She is dead now, so I can't ask her. I have asked her children and they don't know the source of the dates.) Also a mystery to me is a son of Solomon MITCHELL, named William, by a previous wife. He was born about 1840 in IL and they were all on the 1850 census in Wayne Co. IL. The only other hint I have for William is that a W. H. MITCHELL signed an affidavit of age for one of Solomon and Paulina's children when he married in 1872, Fayette Co. IL.
