    3. Hi everyone! Just letting you know that the lists are back up and running again so to "celebrate" our return I'm initiating a first ever Surname Shout Out. A Surname Shout Out works like a Roll Call where we all post an ancestor we're totally stumped on. Happy Hunting! Rick B Admin

    2. Hello.   My great-grandparents, James and Mary (Anderson) Cuthbertson, farmed near Richview in the 1860s and 1870s.  Her sister's family, Alexander and Margaret (Anderson) Gemmell lived near Hoyleton around the same time.  Both families were of Scots origin, and both later moved to southeast Kansas.  Various other relatives lived over near Sparta and Marissa.   My interest is to find the church my great-grandparents belonged to.  The Gemmells were part of a small Congregational Church at Hoyleton, and later were Presbyterians in Kansas.  We've no information on where the Cuthbertsons were members, and would have had their children baptized.  In Kansas they, too, were Presbyterians.   The Cuthbertsons' first child, Margaret Jane Cuthbertson, was born in 1861, and died in infancy.  She is said to have been buried in a cemetery near Richview.  Their other seven children were born near Richview, and accompanied them to KS in 1877.   Ken Cuthbertson   In a message dated 5/30/2018 9:35:18 PM Mountain Standard Time, [email protected] writes:   Hi everyone! 3. If you are looking for infant baptism records won't find them in most Protestant church's. They don't baptize infants.
