I use both programs. FTM does take longer to enter information. I use FTM to generate the reports and diagrams. I use PAF to generate the web pages. You can purchase the CD's with a full refund guarantee if you do not find any family history information that interests you. But I usually will verify content with some of the free lookup volunteers before I make a purchase. This is what I have done so far with both programs: http://www.west-point.org/users/usma1981/38405/genealogy John Greiman Highlands Ranch, CO [email protected] wrote: > Subject: [ILWASHIN] Question-2 of dem...... > Date: Mon, 27 Dec 1999 12:34:03 -0600 > From: "Ira & Marci" <[email protected]> > To: [email protected] > > So, here is the question. As some of you know, I have been using the PAF for my program. Well, Ira bought me that Family Tree Maker and I wondered if anyone else was using it. (I seem to remember that Tam was using it, I think) It seems like a way harder program to use, so I wondered if it is worth it??? What are the advantages? Disadvantages? Easier. make better reports or what??????? How much are these CD's that they offer? Are they worth it? Lemme know, won't you???????
