I use family tree maker all the time and love mine. I do not buy the extra cd's anymore because once you have the index (that comes with the program) you can look up your family name to see if its there or not, anyway our library has all the disc so I use the index and then go to the library if I find something. They will let me make copies 10 cents each. I just got Jess M Thompson's book on Pike County History Illinois, lot of families are in this book Its becomming my red bible. Any way there are a lot of people from KY in ther and other places as well. So if any of your relatives went to Pike County IL I will offer to do a look up for you.
