Hello again! Thank you to Kay, Morris and Lucille, who responded with useful information!! I realized I had left out one critical word in my message, as follows (although you folks all figured it out), in CAPS: "....I figure it's a fairly straight drive of about 200 miles from there, down rt. 51 to Ashley/Richview area, where I'd like to do some research. My MA(X)SON ancestors and their other offspring ended up THERE, leaving my gg-grandmother here in western NY, as she had married a "local boy" back in 1842." Thanks again! Even if it doesn't work out this trip, I plan to come soon. If I don't do it this trip, I'll come in the summer and bring my family, and the information will be very helpful. Doug -- G. Hello All, I've got to come back to NY state on March 20th, to take an exam. from a Certified First Responder class, and am not able to extend the trip at the other end, so I won't be able to spend some time in Ashley on this trip. I really appreciate everyone's helpful advice, and hope to make use of it this summer. I hope to bring my wife and son and spend some time in the area. I hope you all have a good end to winter, and that I'll see you in the summer!!!! Thanks again.
