As for research, I've encountered the same problems with soliciting help from relatives. Nobody knew anything, and now virtually all of them from both sides of my family are gone. If any of your new GUY information pertains to Charity's children, I'd like an opportunity to review it. I'm hoping to release one last & final issue of my MAXWELL descendant document, perhaps as early as Fall, 2004. I already have a stack of updates to be incorporated. I would also like to see any updates you may have on the HOWELL branch of Charity's family. My GUY research was incomplete, since they were not part of my lineage but I do have several names on file. Not much about history of their clan, however (prior homes, migrations, etc).
