Dot - I have no idea! I have very little information on the Mode's. Valentine Mode was married to Mary J. Waadle. He drowned in 1891 while duck hunting. He was found in the Okaw River near Venedy. I don't know how old he was, but his children were still young. I don't know who his siblings or parents were. I am also looking for info on a George & Phillipina Mode. I don't know if they're connected to Valentine or not. They had a daughter, Catherine, who married Henry Becker in St. Clair Co. Phillipina apparently died in St. Clair Co. George must've already been deceased as he wasn't in the 1860 St. Clair census. Catherine & Henry Becker moved to Perry County during the 1860's. Let me know if you find a connection! Thanks!
