    3. Response to Bill & Rita Simms Nashville IL courthouse has the following available to search; DEATHS; Dec. 1877 thru Feb. 1979 BIRTHS; 1877 thru Jan 1920 MARRIAGES; start 1832 I am unsure of the cut-off dates for us to do our research as I know they changed the laws this past summer. Also the probate records. I strongly urge checking out Marcis' 'PRE 1910 Index' first. With it, I had the #'s I needed and they immediately went downstairs and got them for me at 3:15 in the afternoon (they close at 4:00, but they kept the files out for me for the week it took me to cover them all). NO, the 'ladies' weren't at all friendly, but they did 'their job'. However, the girls in the other office (b., d., & mar., Tom Ganz) are usually very friendly and helpful.
