They are in a Washington census that says 1810/18/20. 1810 it was all St. Claire Co. After Washington formed and then Clinton, brothers Robert, William and Reuben ended up in three different counties up by the Kaskaskia river. Reuben with family is the only one in the 1830 Washington Co. census. Robert is in St. Claire (he died there), and William in Clinton (he died there). Reuben and family (on both sides) went west with the Mormons. I found dates on that. I've not yet looked into any possible sisters of these three brothers yet. Likely that all the Middletons descend from these three brothers. Think all these Middletons are of the same family. I have lots of names but will have to dig them up, maybe between 15 and 20 marriages. The names I have not found yet are the parents of Benedict Middleton born 1834 Nashville. Could be John Middleton and Margaret Parker married 1832 ?????? Benedict, my gg grandfather, is the only Middleton in the 1850 Wash. Co. census age 16 and living with another family (Goodner), It's has been said his father died at an early age and the mother remarried ????
