I am descended from Col. John Phillips, oldest brother of Rachel Phillips who married James Logan. I would be interested in the letter you have from her daughter Elizabeth that you mention below. What does she say in it? John and Rachel's sister Margaret (Peggy) married James Logan's brother David who also came to IL. Do you have parents of James Logan and Rachel Phillips?
