I get my messages from the list in Digest form. All the messages are attachments. So if any wording or message looks the least bit weird, I contact the person (if it's someone I know) to see if they sent it. If it's nobody I know, I delete it. Someone who has my address was infected. I kept getting "mail-demons" that said my messages could not be delivered. That means my address was being used to send spam. That has stopped now, so whoever had the infected computer has evidently fixed it. If I'm going to send an attachment, I let the person know ahead that it's coming. Seems like the right thing to do.
