Unless things have changed recently at Rootsweb, attachments cannot be sent through their mailing lists. If you receive what purports to be message from the mailing list which has an attachment, chances are it is one of the many viruses that propagate by creating a fake email from the infected computer's address book or stored emails, attaching itself, and sending itself to various addresses it gleans from the infected computer. This is not true of all mailing listservers, but when I last heard a couple of months ago, it was still the case at Rootsweb. I delete any alleged mailing list message containing an attachment. Dan
