Thompson, March 30, 1865, in Putnam County, MO. I have an 1860 census from Putnam County, MO with a Peter Thompson born in Illinois age 37. His wife is Jane age 36. I think I traced them to Macoupin County in 1850, but according to the Illinois Marriage Index, they were married in Washington County, IL, March 16, 1845. In 1850, their children were Robert J & Vienna C. ages 3 and 1, respectively. In 1860 their children were Robert J. age 13, Viannah age 11, Mary E., age 8, Rachel age 6, and James age 3. James was born in Missouri, all others in Illinois. Also, living with them is Reuben Thompson age 45 born in Tennessee. Robert is Mary Ellen's first husband and died before 1879, because she married my gggrandfather Henry Loyd in that year. Robert & Mary had children, William born 1867, MO, John T. 1871, IL, Robert F. abt 1873, MO and Fannie M about 1875, MO I found Robert living with his half-brother and mother in Johnson County, KS in 1930, but no other information, yet.
