I'm not certain how long the church has existed, but your gggrandfather may be in their records. Nashville Evangelical Cemetery is associated with St. Paul's United Church of Christ (formerly Evangelical, Evangelical and Reformed), 330 N Buhrman, Nashville, Il. 62263 (618) 327-4326. This is the church my father grew up in and most of his side of the family is buried in this cemetery. Another possibility is St. Luke's Evangelical Cemetery, which is included in the list of Nashville Township cemeteries on the RootsWeb page for Washington County. I'm not sure where this one is located. I live in New Jersey but will be going home to Illinois in July for a couple weeks. If you can wait that long, I'll only be an hour from Nashville. I'd be happy to check the cemeteries and at the Court House for you then. aschorfheide@comcast.net Jean Schorfheide Galloway, NJ
