This tree is focused on the descendents of Johann Heinrich Wilhelm Heggemeier, of Oppendorf, Westphalia, Germany, and his wife, Sophia Lucie Henriette Abeler. Wilhelm and Sophie immigrated to the US between 1840 and 1850, settling in Nashville, Washington County, Illinois. They raised 6 children, and the farm they started is still in the family!
