Have recently discovered that my ggg grandfather, Carl Wilhelm Friedrich Brandt immigrated to the US aboard the Oldenburg 6 Dec 1853 with his uncle's family. They are listed as F. (Friedrich?) Glameyer age 41, wife Christine G. 33, Christine G. 8, and Carl G. 4. They are listed as coming from Wilpke, Bremen, but may well have been Kleinenbremen. Carl Brandt was from the village of Nammen in Prussia and was listed as Carl Brand. Would love to have more information on this Glammeier/Glammeyer line as it links up with ours in Germany.
