Someone previously inquired about her brother John Michael. Frances was born in Feb 28,1910 and just died Nov 20 2002. She was first married to Joseph Rynski and then to Martin Schindelar. Her mother Mary was my grandmother's sister, Julianna (Bok/Bock) Leczny/Lance. Frances and I exchanged letters several years ago. Her sister Irene Colgrave is still very active and I think her other sister Clara Varone is still living.

I recently learned that the family I am looking for only lived in Nashville, Washington Co., IL for a short time, so there may be little information on them. William BUDDE, born May 1851 in Germany; and his second wife Lizzie BUDDE, born May 1872, in Illinois were listed living in Nashville in the 1900 census. Their children were: ..William BUDDE, (Jr.), born 1876, (from a 1st marriage) ..Eda (Edith) BUDDE, born March 1888; ..John BUDDE, born Oct 1889; ..Amelia BUDDE, born April 1893; ..Lilly BUDDE, born March 1895; ..Minnie BUDDE, born April 1899; What I was looking for was the names of Cemeteries in the Nashville area because William BUDDE 'was buried in a Catholice section of a cemetery'. But I have recently learned that the family moved to St. Clair County, Illinois about 1900-1902. So I don't know if any of them were buried in the Nashville area after all. I do know that the oldest child, William BUDDE, (Jr.) died young and was buried in New Minden, Illinois. Would you know of any cemeteries in the New Minden area? Also, Lizzie died in 1902 or 1903 and the two youngest children grew up in the Evangelical Childrens's Home in Hoyleton, Illinois. Would you know if that facility is still in operation? Supposedly Lizzie was injured (and later died) in a 4th of July celebration on the grounds of the Nashville Court House in 1900 when a skyrocket hit her by mistake. Do you think something like that would have been reported in a local newspaper? Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated. I live in a suburb of St. Louis, MO. If there is any help I can give you in this area, please let me know. Karen Long ks_long@hotmail.com
none of the list servers allow file attachments. IT is one way to keep bugger that like to spam out. Hope that will clear up any confusion. I get my messages from the list in Digest form. All the messages are attachments. So if any wording or message looks the least bit weird, I contact the person (if it's someone I know) to see if they sent it. If it's nobody I know, I delete it. Someone who has my address was infected. I kept getting "mail-demons" that said my messages could not be delivered. That means my address was being used to send spam. That has stopped now, so whoever had the infected computer has evidently fixed it. If I'm going to send an attachment, I let the person know ahead that it's coming. Seems like the right thing to do. Unless things have changed recently at Rootsweb, attachments cannot be sent through their mailing lists. If you receive what purports to be message from the mailing list which has an attachment, chances are it is one of the many viruses that propagate by creating a fake email from the infected computer's address book or stored emails, attaching itself, and sending itself to various addresses it gleans from the infected computer. This is not true of all mailing listservers, but when I last heard a couple of months ago, it was still the case at Rootsweb. I delete any alleged mailing list message containing an attachment. Dan
Dear list: Last several issues I have been unable to open your email attachments. I have not changed my server. What can be the problem? The answer is that on list servers no attachments are allowed to pass. IT is just the way the list server is setup. anything under 10 kb is sufficient to send. anything over that it gets bounced back. Surnames: Guy Maxwell Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/2816/5g.2ADI/298 Message Board Post: I am trying to find out when my Great-Great Grandmother, Charity Ann (Maxwell) Guy died and where she is buried. I know from census records that she was still living in 1870, but can find no record of her after that. Her husband, James R Guy died in 1867 and he is buried in Spring Hill Cemetery (located at what is known as Boyles Farm) outside of Winkle, Perry Co, IL. His parents, Richard & Sirena (Bunch) Guy are also buried in Spring Hill Cemetery. Charity's parents, Solomon and Elizabeth (Mrs. White) Maxwell are also buried in Spring Hill Cemetery. Most of James R Guy and Charity (Maxwell) Guy's children moved away after marriage, so I do not know who would have taken care of her burial arrangements. But I would think that she probably (?) would have also have been buried in Spring Hill Cemetery. I do not think she has a headstone if she is buried there. I do have photos of the headstones of the family members named above. Does anyone know where I might write to inquire as to a possible obituary for Charity. Is there someone that has records of who is buried in Springhill Cemetery? Is there a funeral home in the area that may have records dating back to the 1870s? Is there anyone that would be willing to check the county records, I will gladly pay a reasonable amount for their efforts. Thanks for any suggestions, information....if I can be of assistance to anyone needing information from Brunswick Co, NC please let me know

I only have 2 of their children at present time, Mary & My GG-GM, Charity Ann (1825 Bedford Co, TN - abt 1870 in IL) she married James R Guy (1816 Allen Co, KY-1867 Washington Co, IL) They had a lot of children, all of whom were born in Washington Co, IL, many of them died in KS. But my G-GM, Emma Jemima Guy (1857 Washington Co, IL - 1929 Jasper Co, MO) married James Franklin Howell (I think they were married in IL?) and he also died in MO. Many of the siblings of Solomon Maxwell also moved during the early 1800s to IL. I do not have info on their offspring, so I do not know if any of them moved onto MO, but as that seems to be a common migration pattern it is feasible. How far back to you track your Maxwell family? The father of my Solomon is believed to be Thomas Maxwell (1750-55 VA - aft 1830 Census in Bedford Co, TN) Thomas' father is believed to be Solomon Maxwell (born abt 1725 unknown - abt 1770 VA.) I have not researched this far back into my Maxwell line and have this info as a guide from another researcher's notes only. I have really just begun to research this branch of my family. Does any of this sound familar? Carrie

I believe these people (Maxwell, Moore, Fox families) lived in Lincoln Co., TN until they went to MO. Do you see a connection here?
