Good goin Emily. Now are you about ready for a trip to Valpo? Tammy
I second that Em....!!! For 33 cents I made a new friend who was kind enough to give me lots of information on the Taylor Cemetery(hopeing to make a connection, but even if I don't....) it was well worth the money. Maybe someone can make a connection even if I can't. Look for possible Taylor info in the near future on the Hinton Page. Marci ----- Original Message ----- From: "Emily I. Go for Pension papers I sure got a lot of info when I got mine, they even had divorce papers stuck in there. Good luck. Tammy
I am new to this list and looking for help. John MEYER enlisted in the Union Army on Sept 3, 1861 in Nashville, IL. He joined the 10th Missouri Regiment Company E, which was composed of Volunteers from Washington County, IL. I have not been able to find anything about him before this. I could not find him in the 1860 census. I do know he married Fredericka HARTLIP and believe that to have been around 1869 or so and that they had 3 children; one of whom died in infancy. Fredericka later married Jacob KELLER. They settled in Hoyleton, managed a general store and had about 8 more children. Does anyone have anything else on John MEYER? Like when he died or where he is buried or an exact wedding date? Thanks for listening, Donna Weber 1980 Avon Drive Florissant, MO 63033 [email protected]

I am looking for the birth dates of their children; Alva-daughter,Stephen or Uri-Virgil-Alfred. Any help in this matter would be great. Most of the kids were born in the early 1900's. Marci, I don't know you as yet, but I truly thank you. I have been busy and have not had the time to be on here much but your work will live on after you I promise. All Historians I know, this is their only blessing I think. The fact that their work lives on after them. Keep on "trucking", lady, work them fingers to the bone, it will touch many lives after you do it. I know how hard it is to meet, especially with political folks, they be folks that talk with forked tongue, so I understand. I also know what it is like to walk cemeteries and record transcripts so I fully understand how much you have done. The only thing I have to add is Keep on keeping on, it is worth it in the end.
