    2. Robert J. Middleton
    3. Hi All: It's rare that we get any "SPAM" on the mail list, but if you see any, DO NOT reply to it. DO NOT click on any of the "links" that say "click here to unsubscribe". If you ever get any "SPAM", just "TRASH" it. NEVER NEVER NEVER reply to it. (unsubscribe, or remove me from list) If you do, they now know they have a valid email address for you, and your address might be put on a "SPAM" mail list. The "SPAM" was sent to the mail list, not your address. I send a copy of the letter to "[email protected]", and I put a "BLOCK" on the senders address for our mail list. Any "SPAM" has to get thru ONE time to be able to "BLOCK" the sender in the future. I can "BLOCK" any email address from our mail list. (even my own :o) ) Robert J. 3. Christine, You might be able to find an 1860 IL census index and see if Elihu Williams was in the state of IL at all. The index is in 2 volumes, IL North and IL South. Some libraries have these books. I don't see Elihu Williams in 1865 Washington Co. IL on the state census. Dot

Are there anyother census records or data I could check to find them? I am a descendant of Amos Williams who I beleive was born in 1855 to Elihu and wife Elvira Strait. any help would be appreciated. When I import your query from your email, it has a box to fill out called: "NAME OF RESEARCHER" Some don't send any name at all. Guess I could put in a phony name, or just a bunch of ????????? With a first and last name, the database works and looks much better on the queries page. If anyone does not wish to include their "real name" with their query, send your "alias" or "nom de plume". (pen name) Some of us might understand. If anyone feels it is a security issue, please let me know and I will bring it up with the ILGenWeb "BOSS". Have not heard of a problem with it since I started the web page in 1996. Good point Ava on the issue of security. Try search engine WWW.GOOGLE.COM and type in Washington County and see how much of our info comes up!!!!!!!!! Regards, Robert. Robert J. 3. Am searching Washington Co. for the name Guillemot. Especially a 'first name unknown' Guillemot who married Marie-Eugenie 'Jennie' Beauchamp after 1870. This person died by 1896, then Jennie was found in St. Louis, Mo. They would probably be of French/canadian descent. Thanks Pat Hammons Also researching: Creely/Crely, Beauchamp, Creapeau and many other French Canadian surnames.
