    2. Ava, Yes, my hubby's great grandmother was Melvina Markham.... isn't that the daughter of Lewis? the same father of Marci's Elizabeth. So does that make Marci's Elizabeth, your James and my Melvina all brothers and sisters? I haven't really done much with this since about December so anything new since then would sure be appreciated... Thanks, Marilyn

    1. [ILWASHIN] LYDIA L. PARKER
    2. Merle Bellmer
    3. I am looking for parents or siblings or Lydia L. Parker. She was born 1830, IL, married Doctor James Mitchell 1856 in Washington Co. IL, according to his Civil War pension file. Lydia died 1906, Dock died 1924. Both are buried in Old Round Rock Cemetery, Round Rock, Williamson Co. TX. On the 1850 census of Washington Co. IL, p. 100a & b, District 20, August 1850, dwelling/family # 6/6 shows this. Alexander D. HAY 36, merchant, KY Malinda 35, KY Margaret B, 12, IL Daniel 10, IL Mary D. 6, IL William Shipley 20, laborer IL John Gay 30, carpenter, NY Elijah Wydich 23, stage driver, IL LYDIA PARKER 25, laborer, unknown Jas Akins 25, stage driver, IL I realize that her age is not quite right for the Lydia I seek, but if she didn't know where she was born, maybe she didn't know exactly when either---or else someone besides Lydia answered the questions about her to the census taker. Does anyone know anything about the LYDIA PARKER in this household or ANYONE in this household?? Thanks, Dot

    3. At 09:37 AM 6/14/00 -0400, you wrote: >What are some of the Middleton names that you are looking for? > >Debbie Thanks for the reply Debbie: I figure the Middletons are all from Benedict Middleton and wife Rachel Washburn GA>MO>IL, and they moved into the area could be as early as 1804 to 1810 ?. They are in a Washington census that says 1810/18/20. 1810 it was all St. Claire Co. After Washington formed and then Clinton, brothers Robert, William and Reuben ended up in three different counties up by the Kaskaskia river. Reuben with family is the only one in the 1830 Washington Co. census. Robert is in St. Claire (he died there), and William in Clinton (he died there). Reuben and family (on both sides) went west with the Mormons. I found dates on that. I've not yet looked into any possible sisters of these three brothers yet. Likely that all the Middletons descend from these three brothers. Think all these Middletons are of the same family. I have lots of names but will have to dig them up, maybe between 15 and 20 marriages. The names I have not found yet are the parents of Benedict Middleton born 1834 Nashville. Could be John Middleton and Margaret Parker married 1832 ?????? Benedict, my gg grandfather, is the only Middleton in the 1850 Wash. Co. census age 16 and living with another family (Goodner), It's has been said his father died at an early age and the mother remarried ???? It was suggested that the father of Benedict might be a son of Reuben that did not go west with the Mormons ??? Any of this ring a bell Debbie?, I have lots more names. Thanks, Robert. Robert J. 3. I am searching for parents of SOLOMON MITCHELL, b. 1814, St. Clair Co. IL, d. 1858 Wayne Co. Would like to also verify whether he is the same Solomon Mitchell who married Melinda Robinson in 1834, St. Clair Co. (Have a marriage certificate, but that doesn't prove that was the same Solomon Mitchell.) Think she may have died soon after the birth of WILLIAM MITCHELL abt. 1840. Can't find William after 1850. PAULINA ALEXANDER (d/o Walter and Catherine Jolliff Alexander) was the 2nd wife of Solomon and her estate settlement was in Washington Co. IL in 1864. Would lilke to know where ANY of the above may have been buried. ANYTHING about them would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dot

The only Washington Co. marriages I have found sofar, are to PARKER 1832, MORGAN 1849, and NEWCOMB 1845. There are also MIDDLETON marriages in Clinton and St. Claire. If you don't have a copy of your old query, you should be able to copy it from the screen at the web site and then paste it into your text editor or email program, and make what changes you desire.
