Thank you so much for the Cotton information. I have been stumped about William Edgar's birth being in Danville. Is Danville the County Seat? Perhaps the war caused them to return to Harrisburg, because John Henry is a veteran. He was a prisoner of war for a period of time too. I just can't figure out any connections until I get his birth record. After I find out his father's birthplace, then I can go further. If you need anything from Randolph County, let me know.
