    3. I have found an ASA RAMSEY shown as "father" on the 1880 Vermilion Co, Illinois census. He is listed with the family of REUBEN RAMSEY. By the time this family can be relocated ..now in Arkansas, ASA is no longer with them. Is there any online source of cemeteries for Vermilion Co that I may search? Would there be a death index for the county at those times. I would guess he died there and am trying to figure out enough information to get a death record of some sort in hopes of finding out who his parents were. So, looking for a place to write, a person to do a search ... a website .. or any ... or all .. of the above. ron At 07:11 PM 6/10/99 EDT, you wrote: >The IGHS cuts out all obits and pastes them in giant scrapbooks...here is >their address along with other possibilities...good luck! > >Contacts in the Danville, Illinois Area > > >Danville Public Library >319 N Vermilion >Danville, IL 61832 >217-477-5228 > >Danville - Illiana Genealogical and Historical Society >PO Box 207 >Danville, IL 61832 >217-431-8733 >email - IGHS@DANVILLE.NET >Website - http://www.danvillevirtual.com/ > >Rossville Historical Society >103 W Attica >Rossville, IL 60963 >217-748-4080 > >Other Rossville Contact: For anyone interested in Rossville, IL check out >www.rossville.com > >Museum of Vermilion County (large history/genealogy section) >116 N Gilbert >Danville, IL 61832 >217-442-2922 > > >Post Queries for this county at: >http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Il/Vermilion > > >==== ILVERMIL Mailing List ==== >Vermilion County, Illinois >The ILGenWeb Project >http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilvermil/ > > >
