Granny, Thank you for your reply. Yes I do seem to recall seeing the Obit for Mario Stefani. And would you believe that Mario Stefani is my grandfather's name as well? This is obviously a different one; My GF passed away in 1985. But as much as this hobby comes up with odd coincidences, I never discount them as such right away. I have found that in my family, and in many other Italian families, there is a strong custom of naming children after one of their grandparents. So when I see the same given names showing up in someone else's Stefani-tree, I have to wonder if I have distant relatives there I don't know about.
